Kathy (Russell) Klusmeyer -Paralegal

I was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on January 20, 1971.  I grew up in the Farmington area and graduated from Farmington High School in 1989.  I attended St. Louis Community College at Meramec in Kirkwood, Missouri and in 1992, I obtained an Associates in Applied Science Degree Specializing in Paralegal Studies.

While attending college, I volunteered time as a legal assistant in the St. Francois County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.  Thereafter, I worked for other local law firms for three and a half years until I was hired by Ken Seufert in February of 1998.

I assist Mr. Seufert with his workers’ compensation practice, and I handle all accounting services for the office.

I live in Farmington, Missouri with my husband and son.  I am active with Boy Scout Troop 483 in Farmington, and I am a huge fan of St. Louis Blues hockey (even when they are losing).

Workers’ Compensation

Potential clients are provided a free initial consultation with Mr. Seufert to discuss the possibility of filing a claim for workers’ compensation benefits under Missouri law.  Once our office is hired, I work with Mr. Seufert and our clients to make sure that they are receiving benefits they are entitled to under Missouri Workers’ Compensation Law as provided by RSMO. Chapter 287, i.e., to ensure proper treatment is being provided, payment of temporary total disability benefits (if appropriate), mileage reimbursement, etc.  I talk to our clients on a regular basis to monitor the progress of their treatment, to provide assistance if an issue rises, and to move the case to a final resolution once they reach maximum medical improvement.
